Debra “Deb” Jean Cervin

Debra Jean Cervin, 60, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, February 14, 2022 at Kiser Hospice House, after a long battle with colon cancer.

Deb was born December 15, 1961 in Denison, TX to William White and the late Carolyn “Kity” White. She grew up in a military family with many moves including living in England and Germany. Her family settled in the Austin, Texas area, where she graduated high school. She graduated from Austin College in Sherman, Texas with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology. Deb worked as a social worker in the mental health field before retiring to raise her 2 children. Deb enjoyed volunteering at her children’s school, bowling, camping and traveling with her family and friends. Her most recent and treasured trip was to see the Northern Lights above the arctic circle in Alaska with her husband and children.

In addition to her father, Deb is survived by her husband, James “Jim” Cervin; daughter, Adelaide Rosic; son, Mabry Paul Cervin; brother, Colon White.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Kiser Hospice House, 1229 Statesville Blvd, Salisbury, NC 28144 or to the Novant Health Wallace Cancer Institute, 631 Mocksville Ave #1020, Salisbury, NC 28144.

    My deepest sympathies to the family. Deb was a wonderful person and will be missed by so many folks. She was so much fun to be with and go on adventures with me, Adie and Jen. It makes me smile when I remember all the fun times we enjoyed together.
