Donald Edward Layer, 83, of Charlotte, passed away Thursday, August 30, 2018 at the W. G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury, NC. He was born January 23, 1935 in Glen Ridge, NJ to the late Pete Layer and Ora Randolph Layer.
Donald proudly served his country in the United States Army (elite 101st Airborne Division) during the Korean War.
A Celebration of Life will be held at the Residence Inn, 107 Prospect Ave, West Orange, NJ 07052 on Saturday 15th from 3pm to 7pm.
