Dorothy Phay Willis, 78, of Albemarle passed away Monday, December 31, 2012, at Stanly Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Willis was born on June 21, 1934 in Aragon, Georgia a daughter of the late Otto Wright and Estelle Lemons Wright.

Dorothy received her education in Georgia and Stanly Community College and retired from the Stanly County Department of Social Services as a case manager in 1996. She enjoyed cooking for her family, spending time with family and was always helping family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry L. Willis of Cocoa Beach, Florida; sons, Anthony M. Puckett of Mississippi, Paul D. “Chip” Puckett and wife, Robin, of Lyman, SC, Christopher R. Willis of Kannapoils, Jerry L. Willis, Jr. and wife, Angela, of Albemarle, Michael E. Willis of Albemarle; and 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

A Private Celebration of Life will be held.
