Elizabeth Diana “Dianne” Royal Smith , 71, of Rockwell peacefully passed and went to be with the Lord on July 21, 2024.  Born July 18, 1953 , in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late George Lee Smith and Mary Francis Honeycutt Smith.
Dianne retired from nursing in 2020.   She took great pride in her work and always wanted to help those in need.

Dianne left behind her husband of 24 years , Alberto Smith ; her daughter, Sherrie Royal Smith ; her sister , Barbara Ann Smith ; her nephew , Shane Houck; her niece , Shannon Carlisle Warden ; 5 grandchildren – Ryan Smith, Katherine Smith, Chasity Royal , Austin Smith and Brittany Smith; and 7 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service was held Wednesday July 30, 2024 at the Childress Vineyards .   Her family came together  to celebrate her life and honor her by playing Bingo and listening to Elvis,  some of her favorite things .

She will be missed greatly.
