Elma Mae Lehman Jarvis, 87, of Salisbury, passed away Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury, NC.
She was born November 24, 1931 in Cape May, NJ to Harry and Blanche Lehman. Elma retired from Northwest Cabarrus, where she worked in the cafeteria. She enjoyed riding horses and later in life enjoyed playing cards and bingo. Elma was a faithful member of Lyerly Evangelical Church in Rockwell. She was formerly a member of Associate Reform Presbyterian in Mooresville.
In addition to her parents, Elma was preceded in death by husband of 60 years, Richard Jarvis Sr.; sister, Anna; and brother, Harry Jr.
Elma is survived by her daughter, Susan Benton of Salisbury; son, Richard Jarvis (Kathy) of Concord; grandchildren, Brandon (Jennifer), Bobbie Sue, and Jessica; and great-grandchildren, Conner, Liam, and Skylar.
There will be a memorial service held at 4 pm on Saturday, September 28th, 2019 at Lyerly Evangelical Church, 1320 Crescent Rd. Rockwell, NC 28138, with Dr. W.C. Gaither, Jr. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lyerly Evangelical Church, Attn: Missions, 1320 Crescent Rd. Rockwell, NC 28138.
