Elva Fern Edwards Honeycutt, 101, of Mooresville, passed away Sunday, January 23, 2022 at her home in Mooresville, NC.

Elva was born on August 10, 1920 in Oklahoma to the late Jasper William Marion Edwards and Rachel Holt Dixon.

In addition to her parents, Elva was preceded in death by her husband, David Honeycutt, and 6 siblings. She was the owner and operator of Evergreen Beauty Salon in Mooresville for over 70 years. Elva loved doing hair and making people feel good about their self. She was a very giving person who would always rather give than receive. Elva enjoyed traveling to the mountains with her late husband David. She loved cooking for and spending time with her family.

Elva is survived by her three daughters, Cheryl Lippard of Salisbury, Carol O’Brien of Mooresville, NC, Sandra (Charles) Meacham of Salisbury; two sons, Alan Honeycutt of Mooresville, Timothy Honeycutt of Salisbury; three sisters, Betty Gausch of OK, Lewetta Madole of AZ, Helen Pitts of OK. Elva is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchild.

There will be a memorial service will be held at Franklin Baptist Church 3810 US-601, Salisbury, NC 28147 on Friday, February 4th at 1:00 pm with Rev. Joe Thomas and Chaplain Steven Vance officiating.
