Everett Owens Laufer, 79, of Salisbury passed away on Friday November 8, 2013 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center. Mr. Laufer was born on July 18, 1934 in Oneida, NY to the late Mr. Randall D. Laufer and Mrs. Mildred Owens Laufer. Everett proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Mr. Laufer was of the Methodist Faith and worked as a truck driver as well as a security guard at an apartment complex.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a son, William Laufer.

Everett is survived by his friend, Alfredia Kervin, a son, Dewey Laufer of Winterville, NY, a brother, Lawrence “Larry” Laufer of Frankfort, NY, and two sisters, Marion Guillaume of Brantingham, NY and Sharla Martin of Leesburg, FL, grandson, Bryson McHone, and step-children, James Kervin, Carol Kervin May, and Virginia Kervin McHone.
