George Wayne Wilhelm, 71, of Kannapolis, passed away on Wednesday, September 7, 2016. He was born on April 20, 1945 to Frank and Hazeline (Redwine) Wilhelm in Salisbury, NC.

He graduated from South Rowan High School and worked in maintenance for Corriher Mills. He attended Concordia Lutheran Church when he was younger and he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He would go to the Moose Lodge with his uncle Ralph Williams in his younger years and he enjoyed being with friends and family.

In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank E. Wilhelm, and Capt. Murray R. Wilhelm USMC.

George is survived by two Brothers, James E. (Brenda) Wilhelm Sr. of Monroe, NC, and Jerry (Christa) Wilhelm of Huntsville, AL; and two close friends, Darryl Church, and Patrick Jones;
