Georgianna Inman

Share

Let the family know you care by sharing this tribute.

Georgianna Inman was born on October 21, 1951 to the late Fred and Carrie Bell Deas in Clarendon County, South Carolina. She departed this life on Tuesday morning, December 8, 2015 at Novant Health Care Presbyterian Hospital (Hospice Unit), Charlotte NC.

Georgianna is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Fraiger Deas.

She married Harold Inman and had two daughters, Marva and Quantricia and two sons, Derek and Victor. Georgianna graduated from Lincoln High School, Sumter SC and later attended a technical school. She was employed with the Veterans Administration in Washington, DC and later moved to Charlotte where she was employed by the City of Charlotte as a dispatcher for CATS Special Transportation. She retired in 2014 after becoming disabled.

Georgianna dedicated her life to serve Jehovah God on July 1, 1983 and enjoyed sharing with people the bible based hope of the resurrection and a restored paradise on earth, when everyone living will have perfect health and “no one will say I am sick” (Isaiah 33:24). She was known for being very bright and cheerful at all times. Even during her last days while battling cancer, she was optimistic and enjoyed being around friends and family.

Georgianna leaves to mourn her loss and cherish her memories her children, Marva, Quantricia, Derek, and Victor; three sisters, Evelyn Ramsey (Arthur), Mellen Tinsley (Charles) and Lula Walker; two brothers, Timothy Deas and Ulysses Deas; grand children, Marquis, Jamal, Quontey, Kierra, Xavier, and Derek Jr.; greatgrands, Janiah, Jaden, and Kayden; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 1:00 PM at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses (1315 Statesville Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28206).

He will call; the dead will answer. They shall live at his command. For he will have a longing for the work of his own hand. So have faith, and do not wonder, for our God can make us stand. And we shall live forever, as the work of his own hand (Job 14:13-15). Deepest condolences to the Inman family. We hope to see your loved one in Paradise.

    Ms. Georgia –
A lovely, gracious lady who helped me learn my job and we shared our Christian faith with at work. I enjoyed gardening tips and cards with her at lunch. She shall be missed by all but is in good hands with the Lord. I count my time with her a blessing.

I met Georgia about 25 years ago. We worked together closely for many years. As a result we learned a lot about each other and each other’s families. I admired her sweet disposition, her incredible work ethic, her faith and watching her light up when talking about her family. Like so many others I will miss you Georgia. I know you’re at peace now. I will think of you every time I see an item you gave gave me as a gift long ago. Peace.

I had the pleasure of getting to know Georgia three years ago when I started to work for CATS in the Special Transportation division. She welcomed me as a newcomer and was always willing to help me learn the job. She had such a sweet personality and was always smiling. May you rest in peace. My sincere condolences to the family.
