Gordon Alfred Wise, 74, of Salisbury, NC passed away December 12, 2016 at his residence.

Gordon was born August 18, 1942 in London, England to the late Edward and May Alfreda Wise.

He was educated in England as an Engineer and worked as head of research and development for UNIFY. After UNIFY, he started his own textile consulting business. Gordon played professional soccer in England and amateur soccer in Charlotte, NC. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping in Florida and Alabama.

In addition to his parents, Gordon is preceded in death by grandson, Corey Tyler Wise; and brothers, Alan Wise and Norman Wise.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Patricia Troutman Wise of Salisbury, NC; son, Derrick Wise and wife Valerie of Statesville, NC; and granddaughter, Ashton Paige Wise.
