Heinz Herbert Behnert, 88, of Wingate passed away on Wednesday June 13, 2012 at the McWhorter Hospice House in Monroe, N.C.. Heinz was born on January 11, 1924 in Whittenberg, Germany, son of the late Frank Behnert and Katherine Steiger Behnert. Heinz is survived by his wife Hannelore Behnert. Carolina Cremation of Salisbury is assisting the Behnert family.
