Helen Ruth Lawson Morgan, 60, of Lexington, NC passed away on Monday October 3, 2011 at Hinkle Hospice House. Helen was born March 24, 1951 in Davidson County, NC, a daughter of the late Sanders Lawson and Virginia Frances Lawson of Lexington, NC.

Mrs. Morgan was a 1969 graduate of East Davidson High School and attended Davidson Community College where she studied for her CNA license. She worked for Dixie Furniture, TI Industries, and later as a private duty CNA. Helen was also a member of the Lexington Moose Lodge #317.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Craig.

She is survived by a son, Christopher Lee Morgan and wife Wendy of Lexington, NC; two Granddaughters, Brandi Cox and husband Brandon of Lexington, NC, and Taylor Morgan of Lexington, NC; and one Great Grandson, Braxton Cox of Lexington, NC. two Brothers, Lonnie Lawson and Charles Lawson both of Lexington, NC; one Sister, Penny Hicks of Lexington, NC

The family will receive friends and loved ones at their home at 2661 Hedrick Mill Road for a remembrance of her life. This will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2011 from 5:00pm until 7:00pm.

There will be a Memorial service held at Forest Hill Cemetery on Friday, October 7, 2011 at 11:00am.
