Henry “Grady” Patton passed away on February 28, 2026.

He is survived by his wife, Flora Hicks Patton; sons, David Patton (Xan), Brandon Patton, Ricky Patton, and Ben Patton (Kirsten); grandchildren, Randall Patton, Caleb Harman, Emily Patton, Blake Patton, Bryce Patton, Evan Harman, and Logan Patton; great-grandchildren, Rosalee and Althea Patton; and brothers, Buck Wingler (Jody) and Hugh Lee Patton (Leslie).

He was preceded in death by his father, Ralph Patton; mother, Tamer Wingler Patton Carpenter; stepfather, Charles Carpenter; and sister, Joann Patton Tutterow.

Grady was retired after a career in retail sales and management. His interests included watching sports, especially the UNC Tar Heels, and reading.

A Celebration of Life was held on March 28, 2026, at Mills Home Baptist Church in Thomasville, North Carolina. Inurnment took place in the columbarium at God’s Acre at Mills Home, Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina, in Thomasville.

He will be remembered by his family and friends with love.
