Mr. James “Cecil” Bost, Sr., 85, of Granite Quarry passed away Saturday, November 24, 2012, at his residence surrounded by family. Cecil was born on September 18, 1927 in Salisbury a son of the late Wade Steven Bost and Addie Linebury Bost.
Mr. Bost was educated at Boyden High School. He was along distance truck drive, was an owner-operator and had retired from Land Star in 2004. Cecil enjoyed being with family and friends, camping and wood working.
Cecil always wanted to keep his humor till the end and he got his wish.
Survivors include his wife, Bettie Paige Bost who he married in 2006, son; James Cecil Bost, Jr. and wife, Brenda, of Fredericksburg, Virginia; daughters, Katrina Aprile and husband, Bob, of Jacksonville, Florida and Cheryl Bost Feazell of Jacksonville, Florida; his honorary adopted son Charlie Simmons of Baltimore, Maryland; 5 step daughters, Jackie Paige of King, Paula Jackson and husband, Ronnie, of King, Beverly Nelson and Husband, Ken, of Rural Hall, Cheryl Boggs and husband, Ronnie, of Clemmons, and Pamela Nesbit and husband, Parks, of Salisbury; 2 sisters, Francis and Jean, both of Salisbury: 4 grandchildren, 8 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 11 step great grandchildren. Mr. Cecil’s first wife was Joyce Barringer.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 27, 2012, at the Calvary Baptist Tabernacle conducted by Pastor Steve Holshouser. The family will receive friends after the service at the church.
