Jimmy Franklin Hager, 58, of Kannapolis, passed away on Tuesday May 3, 2016 in Raleigh, NC. Mr. Hager was born on November 23, 1957 in Cabarrus County, NC and was adopted by Barbara Pinkston Hager and the late Tim McCoy Hager.

Jimmy worked as a fire fighter, a welder, a correction officer in public safety, and attended Jackson Park Methodist Church in Kannapolis. He enjoyed watching all kinds of racing, especially NASCAR, and he enjoyed spending time with family friends. Jimmy loved to be on the lake swimming and fishing with friends and family.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by a son, Levi Garth Hager.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Jessica Shannon Green and husband Nathan of Kannapolis; a brother, Billy Hager of Kannapolis; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday May 14, 2016 at 2:00 PM at the Dale Earnhardt Memorial (Corner S. Main Street & B Street, Kannapolis, NC 28083). The Celebration of Life will be followed by a Balloon release.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Jessica Green to help with final expenses.
