Jo Ann Hodge Teschner-Caruzzi, 85, of Lexington, NC passed away on Tuesday November 17, 2015 at the Brookstone Assisted Living Facility in Lexington. Jo was born on October 12, 1930 in Pomeroy, Ohio to the late Webster B. Hodge and Marcella Fisher Hodge.

Jo received her Bachelor’s of Fine Arts in Photography at the age of 57 and had worked as a Draftsman for many Civil Engineering company up until that time. She volunteered for many groups including, Friends of Clear Creek, Fairfield County Historical Parks, and Columbus Metro Parks where she led nature walks, and taught photography. She also loved to work in her garden and taught graderning to inner city kids through the Master Gardner program.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her two husbands, Hans R. Teschner, and Richard Francis Caruzzi.

She is survived by her daughter, Johanna Teschner and her boyfriend Timothy Bailey of Lexington; and two cousins, Carole Stewart Dale of Columbus, Ohio, and Robert Jacobson of Marysville, Ohio.
