John Calvin Peeler, 91, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, February 5, 2017 at the NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury, NC.

He was born on April 24, 1925 to the late George Walter and Carrie Holshouser Peeler in Salisbury, NC. John was a graduate of Rockwell High School and Catawba College. He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

John is survived by; Two Daughters, Martha “Marti” Peeler Grady and husband Taylor of Oak Island, NC, and Tina Peeler Ketner and husband David of Woodruff, SC; Two Brothers, Ray Peeler, and George Peeler; 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his Wife, Frances Patricia Peeler, and Sister, Sarah Catherine Honeycutt

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 10, 2017 at 11:00 am at the Old Salisbury National Cemetery (202 Government Rd., Salisbury, NC 28144). Military honors will be provided by the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard and the North Carolina National Guard.
