John Oren Hartman, Jr., age 76, of Salisbury, NC passed away at CMC Main Hospital in Charlotte on August 2, 2023 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

John was born on April 30, 1947 in Salisbury, NC to John Oren Hartman, Sr. and Ruby Parrish Hartman.

John is survived by his wife of 54 years Sandra Eakins Hartman; daughter, Angela Hartman Argueta (children, Jordan Hartman, Dylan Argueta & Kayla Villezcas); son, David Hartman and wife, Misty Hartman (children, Kloey Hartman & Rylee Hartman). John is also survived by two sisters, Betty Hartman Rhodes and Ruby Hartman Whitman.

John was preceded in death by his parents John and Ruby Hartman; sisters, Sue Hartman Rufty and Lois Faye Morgan.

John graduated from Boyden High School in 1965 and earned a 2-year business degree from Wingate University. He retired from Kosa after 33 years. John had a lifelong passion for playing golf.  He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He took pride in taking care of his wife, children and grandchildren. He was sweet, funny (loved telling corny jokes) and had a heart of gold and will be missed by so many.

There will be a Celebration of Life for family and friends of John on August 19, 2023 from 2pm to 5pm at Gold Hill Park, located at 735 St. Stephens Church Rd, Gold Hill, NC.
