John W. Bulla, 80, of Salisbury, passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center in Charlotte, NC.

He was born November 5, 1945 in Salisbury, NC to the late Walter Bulla Jr. and Alice Winecoff Bulla.  He graduated from Boyden High School class of 1964. John worked at Desco, where he played on their softball team. He was an active member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church. He also ran a paper route with Mammy Evans.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his brother, Walter “Dick” Bulla III; and dear friend, Mike Morris.

John is survived by his wife, Jane W. Bulla; daughter, Rebecca Jane Bulla; sisters, Loretta Ennis and Karen Lincoln.

The family will receive friends at 1pm on February 21, 2026 at the Parish Hall of St. Pauls Episcopal Church, 930 S Main St, Salisbury, NC 28144. There will be a Celebration of John’s life following the visitation, beginning at 2pm.
