Kam Cheung Tsui, 74, of Charlotte, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Levine & Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville surrounded by family. He was born on December 30, 1943 in Shanghai, P. R. China to the late Wang Qing Xu and Gui Yin Huang.
Kam Cheung received his medical degree in 1966. He had practiced as an internal medicine physician for 28 years in Shanghai before moving to Hong Kong. While in Hong Kong, he worked as a medical director in a nursing center. He retired in 2006 in order to spend more time with the family and grandkids. He enjoyed reading, playing soccer, watching Chinese opera, and playing Chinese chess.
In addition to his parents, Kam Cheung was preceded in death by a brother, Pin Xiang Xu.
Kam Cheung is survived by his wife of 45 years, Qi Gu; a daughter, Terry Xu and husband Haitao Zhang of Charlotte; and two grandsons, Tim Zhang and Ted Zhang of Charlotte.
The family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Levine Cancer Institute, Carolina Health System and Levine & Dickson Hospice House, who provided excellent care to Kam Cheung in the last few years.
