Louvenia May Sachs, 89, of Albemarle, North Carolina passed away November 29, 2012 at her residence. Ms. Sachs was born January 18, 1923 in Galax, Virginia to the late Edgar Vaughn and Thelma Hodges Vaughn.

Ms. Sachs was a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church in Galax, Virginia and enjoyed gardening and being outdoors. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and a special cat, Spanky.

In addition to her parents, Ms. Sachs is preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Jack Sachs.

Louvenia May Sachs is survived by two sons; Gregory Sachs and wife Rhonda of Albemarle, NC, Van Sachs and wife Laura of Charlotte, NC, daughter; Linda Delp and husband Roy of Galax, VA, brother; James Vaughn and wife Norma of Mt. Airy, NC, sisters; Lois Alderman of Galax, VA, and Malley Roberts of Galax, VA, grandchildren; Emily Sachs, Dana Duggins and husband Doug, Michael Sachs and wife Abby, Melissa Delp, Michael Delp and wife Angela, and Michelle Kemp, and great grandchildren; Timothy Duggins, Parker Duggins, Leanne Duggins, Elliette Sachs, Michael Delp, Zoe Delp, Lexie Delp, and Garrett Delp.

The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
