Lucy “Carolyn” Yancey Kegley, 78, of Salisbury, went to her heavenly home on June 3, 2017.

Carolyn was born to the late John Yancey and Venita Boyd on November 22, 1938 in Cabarrus County, NC. She graduated from Boyden High School in 1956 and then attended Salisbury Business School. She owned and operated Salisbury Answering Service from 1975 – 1979. Carolyn was a member of Providence Baptist Church and in her spare time enjoyed painting, crafts, yard work and gardening – especially strawberries.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, William Randolph “Randy” Marsh.

Those left to cherish her memory include son, Chris Arnold of Raleigh; daughter, Tami Parrish of Spencer; sister, Peggy Sue Yancey Julian of Tampa; grandchildren, Angel, Jessica, Joy, Christian, and Zachary; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Jada, Christopher, Augustina, Priscilla, and JoeJoe.

There will be a memorial service held at 11am on Friday, June 9th, 2017 at Providence Baptist Church, 620 Andrews St. Salisbury, NC 28144.
