Martha Alice Gainey, 70, of Concord passed away at her residence Saturday, October 1, 2011. She was born on May 3, 1941 a daughter of the late Homer Watson Fisher and Mary Magdalene Clinton Fisher.

Maratha was educated in the Cabarrus County Schools, was a homemaker, and of the Baptist Faith. She
loved doing puzzles, word searches, crocheting, cross stitching, and above all being with her family.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gainey was preceded in death by a daughter, Anita Ann Long.

Survivors include; a son, Larrty David Fisher of Landis, a daughter, Martha Jean Alexander of Concord, six grandchildren, Amy Earnhardt, Sarah Earnhardt, Amanda Long, Madison Scott, Jennifer Jeffrey, and Dessi Heglar and one great grandson.

There will be no services.
