Mildred Imogene Moore Nicholson McBride, 88, of Linwood, passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, NC.

She was born April 21, 1934 in Carroll County, VA to the late Porter Moore and Cora Hawks Moore. She graduated from Hillsville High School. Mildred retired from Bell South and in her spare time she enjoyed sewing and reading.

In addition to her parents, Mildred was preceded in death by her daughters, Joyce Nicholson and Beverile Nicholson; husband, Harris McBride; and 4 grandchildren.

Mildred is survived by children, Dianne Nicholson, Gae Spillman (Steve), Jennifer Blackburn (Michael Dexter), Wendy Iles (Roger), and Laura Shaw (Rick); David Nicholson (Kim); 12 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

The family would like to give a special thanks to caregiver, Tracy Teague.
