Mr. Myron Brown “Hank” Owens, 63 of Salisbury passed away May 1, 2012 at Duke Medical Center in Durham. Hank was born August 28, 1948 in Rowan County son of the late W. C. Owens and Doris Brown Owens. He graduated from East Rowan High School in 1966, had worked for N.C. Finishing Company, and Pillow Tex with the canteen service. Mr. Owens was a member of First Reformed Church in Landis, he loved fishing, woodworking, and spending time with his family, and loved watching his grandsons play soccer, he was a former member of the Salisbury Bass Club.
Hank was a Veteran of Viet Nam, serving from 1968 to 1969. He received a Bronze Star.
He served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Judy Anderson Owens, who he married July 25, 1971, he has three sons, Michael B. Owens, Matthew B. Owens, and Marcus B. Owens and wife Lauren all of Salisbury. He has one brother, Joseph Owens of Rockwell, one sister, Janet Grubb of Salisbury. And two grandsons, Garrett M. Owens, Grayson K. Owens, and he was excited about a new grandchild being born in November.
Hank loved his three dogs, Abbey, Bailey, and J.J.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, at 3:00 PM at the First Reformed Church, conducted by Rev. David Franks, Pastor. The family will receive friends at the Church at 4:00 PM Following the Service.
The Rowan County Veteran Honor Guard will present the flag following the Memorial Service.
