Pamela Heath Saunders passed away on or about January 28, 2025 in Charlotte, NC. Born on October 23, 1955, Pam was predeceased by her Father Harold T. Saunders, her Mother, Betty Jean Sinclair Saunders McCartin, and her Stepfather, Paul McCartin. She is survived by her sister Melinda Saunders Mull of Asheville and her husband Keith, her brother Harold T. Saunders, Jr (“Chip”) of Suffolk, VA and his wife Cindy, a niece, Makenzy L. Mull, and three nephews, Harold T. Saunders, III, Wesley B. Saunders, and Devin N. Saunders and his wife, Yolanda.
Pam started working at 15 or 16 at the Charlotte Observer, delivering the morning news. That was probably her favorite job and she was good at it She saved her money and bought a 1972 MGB which she adored. As the years went by, Pam eventually moved inside at the Observer and worked in Customer Service. Pam faced more obstacles in life than most of us; but she made decisions on her own and she stuck by them. Her level of peace and happiness could only be measured by her, but by any measure it seems clear Pam was where she wanted to be and was happy to be there. She loved nature and animals of all sorts and had various housemates during her years (cats, birds, and plants). Pam was a kind and generous person; she always wanted to do more to help others but many issues beyond her control limited her abilities. But not her heart. She was by nature a kind and considerate person and she will be missed all who knew her.
The family will hold various private celebrations of her life as the days go by.
Carolina Cremation of Charlotte and Salisbury is assisting the Saunders family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.

Pam was such a sweet young lady. I remember the family when you lived in Windsor Park. Those were the days. God bless you all. Pam now has her wings.

Chip, Not until her death did I learn the true nature of the special connection between you and your sister Pam. Delivering papers 1 time with Fred cured me; it was grueling work! I bet she did love her ‘72MGB! What I did observe was a brother who loved his sister.
