Patricia Mary Palmer Thomas, 91, of Rockwell, passed away on Monday October 2, 2017 at Genesis Healthcare in Salisbury, NC surrounded by her family and friends. She resided in Vernon, VT before moving to Rockwell, NC 13 years ago. Ms. Thomas was born on February 23, 1926 in Windsor County, Vermont to the late Hartwell E. Palmer and Nellie V. Howard Palmer.

Patricia was of the Christian Faith and she enjoyed quilting, sewing, gardening (her flowers), her Family, and Friends along with her dogs and cats. She was active in the Senior Center in Vernon, Vt she became involved in Rufty’s Senior Center and a local Quilters Guild once she moved to Rockwell, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Victor Thomas I.

She is survived by her Daughter, Arleen and Walter Huesman: a son, Kenneth V. and Susan Thomas II; 5 Grandchildren, 2 Great Grandsons, a Granddaughter: Rachel Marie and Ronald King, a Great Grandson: Nicholas Walkenbach of MO, a Grandson: Kenneth V Thomas III of MO, her brothers, Donald Palmer of Rockwell, NC, and Lemual Palmer in VT; a sister, Judy and Latham Lampher of NY; a niece, Mona and Bill Bisnette of Rockwell (who helped take care of Ms Thomas in her later years), as well as several Nieces, Nephews, great Nieces and Nephews in NH, VT, NY, MA, VA, NC, TX and Japan.
