Patsy Leatrice Covington Sikes, 82, of Denton passed away on Monday September 10, 2012 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington. Patsy was born on September 15, 1929, daughter of the late Maynard Benjamin Covington and Elizabeth Ann Swanner Covington.

Patsy attended Denton High School and worked for the Hosery Mill in Denton. She was a member of First Methodist Church in Denton.

Patsy is survived by her son, Bobby Ray Sikes of Denton; grandson, Matthew Noel Sikes and wife Elizabeth of Florence, Alabama; great-grandson, Blake Sikes; sister, Elizabeth Morris of Clemmons and many neices and nephews.

There will be a Memorial Service held at 2:00 PM Saturday, September 22, 2012 at First Methodist Church of Denton conducted by Rev. Sandy Young.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Davidson County Hospice 200 Hospice Way Lexington NC 27292 or to First Methodist Church of Denton P.O. Box 1792 Denton N.C. 27239.
