Philip A. Kruger Jr., 44, died peacefully at his home on February 21st, 2016. He was preceded in death by his father Marvin L. Scruggs, and survived by his mother Kristine Scruggs of Salisbury.

He was a loving and proud father to his son, PFC John H. Kruger of the USMC, and daughter Bayley B. Kruger, a beloved brother to Althea L. Smith and husband Dean Smith, and Shawna L. Scruggs all of Rockwell, NC. He loved his nieces Katie and Holly Smith and nephews Marvin S. Scruggs and Edward Smith. Also left to remember him is his dearest and most cherished friend Cindy Lefler, and favorite aunt Naomi Rice, both of Salisbury, NC.

He also enjoyed traveling, spending time watching movies and going to amusement parks with his son and nephew Marvin. He was educated in the Salisbury City Schools and was last employed by Schwans. Philip Kruger was a kindhearted gentleman that will be sorely missed by those that knew him. God Bless Kruger. Amen
