Phillip Dee Kesler, 73. of Salisbury passed away on Friday, September 2, 2016, at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House. Mr. Kesler was born on September 12, 1932 in Rowan County a son of the late Douglas Leo Kesler and Phyllis Mae Hall Kesler.
Phillip was a graduate of Granite Quarry High School, had retired from Colonial Steel where he was a welder, and was a Veteran having served in the US Army. He enjoyed being with family, computer games, facebook and loved his dog , Ginger.
Survivors include sons. Ronnie Kesler and wife Karen of Gold Hill, Tommy Kesler of Salisbury, Perry Kesler and wife Nancy of Salisbury and Terry Kesler of Salisbury; daughter Patty Elmore of Salisbury; brother John Kesler and wife Jean of Texas; sister Carol Brown of Granite Quarry; ten grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Services: Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday, September 6, 2016, at the Salisbury National Cemetery (Statesville Blvd) conducted by Rev. Mike Herring pastor of Stallings Memorial Baptist Church. Military Graveside Rites will be conducted by the Rowan County Honor Guard and the NC National Guard.
