Robert Alfred Blalock Jr. (Peanut), 60, of Denton, passed away on Thursday, November 24, 2016 at the Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, surrounded by family. He was born on August 26, 1956 in Troy, NC to the late Robert Blalock and Dessie Hiatt Blalock.

Robert worked as a Truck Driver driving logging trucks. He loved to go bass fishing, horseback riding, and tending his gardens. Robert enjoyed giving the vegetables from his garden to his family and friends. He never knew a stranger.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie Lee Blalock, and a sister, Deborah Saunders.

Robert is survived by his son, Anthony Blalock and wife Casey of Robbins, NC; a brother, Charles Blalock and wife Beulah of Denton, NC; a sister, Pansy Valk and husband Terry of Ellerbe, NC; three nephews, Justin Blalock of Denton, NC, Bryan Blalock and wife Bridget of Denton, NC, and Wesley Blalock and wife Whitney of Denton, NC; and other numerous nephews and nieces.

A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, December 4th at The Civic Center in Denton, NC from 2-4 pm.
