Sandra Jean “Sandy” Kirkman Archer, 61, of Rockwell, died Saturday, April 23, 2011, at Brian Center Health and Rehabilitation of Salisbury.

Sandy was born Nov. 24, 1949, in Rowan County, the daughter of the late Robert E. Kirkman and Colleen Haywood Knight. Educated in Rowan County schools and East Rowan High School, Sandy was of the Baptist faith and had worked for Rags of Rockwell as a seamstress. She was a homemaker. Sandy loved to be outside, was an artist and painter and loved her family very much.

In addition to her parents, Sandy was preceded in death by a brother, Rusty Kirkman.

Survivors include her companion, Terry Deal of Rockwell; sons Flint Patterson and Caleb Archer of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; brothers Bobby Kirkman and wife Amy of Rockwell, Danny Knight and wife Angie of Salisbury; sisters Kimberly Wilkinson and husband Steve of Rockwell, Wendy Knight and husband John of Rockwell; stepsisters Peggy Clark of China Grove and Judy Therrell and
husband Tony of Kannapolis; stepfather Barney Knight of Rockwell; grandchildren Seth Patterson of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Sarah Patterson of Gold Hill; great-grandson Jaden Crosby of Gold Hill.

Visitation: Family is receiving friends Saturday, April 30 at The Rock from 11 a.m.-12:15 p.m.

Services: Memorial Services will be conducted at 12:15 p.m. Saturday, April 30 at The Rock, conducted by Rev. Buddy Hoffner, pastor of Bible Missionary Baptist Church.
