Sarah Ann Sinclair Phillips, 79, of Rockwell, peacefully passed away February, 6, 2017 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center, into the outreached arms of her loving Savior.

Sarah was born May 26, 1937 to the late Vernon and Annie Sinclair in Union County, NC. She attended Grace Bible Church in Rockwell, NC. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking and baking, thrift store shopping, yard sales, walking, visiting the mountains, and gardening. Her passion was quilting and she enjoyed making them and giving them away. Her greatest joy was her family and in her final words stated she loved them more than life itself.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Kenneth Sinclair and JC Sinclair, and 2 sisters, Margaret Newsome and Georgia Grubb.

She is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Fred Phillips, whom she married November 22, 1956; son, Bobby Phillips (Terri) of Statesville, NC; 2 daughters, Anita Frick (John) of Rockwell, NC and Rena Jenkins of Rockwell, NC; 3 sisters, Dot Beamer of Charlotte, NC; Joellen Arant of Charlotte, NC; and Eldis Honeycutt of Marshville, NC; 10 grandchildren, Justin, Nate, Joseph, Olivia, Erin, Jason, Julia, Brandon, Courtney and Brittany; and 8 great-grandchildren, Addy, Andrew, Allie, Joseph Nathaniel, Jaxson, Selena, Jackson, and Ryland.

There will be a memorial service held at Brookhill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, 8675 US-52, Rockwell, NC 28138 on Thursday, February 9th, 2017 at 12 PM.
