Sherry Ann Merrill Harris, 74, of Lexington, passed away on Thursday, July 10, 2025 at Hinkle Hospice House in Lexington, NC, after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer.

She was born July 16, 1950 in High Point, NC to the late John Virgil Merrill and Macie Carpenter Merrill. She was the strongest woman her daughters have ever known, battling cancer for three years, before God called her home.

In addition to her parents, Sherry was preceded in death by brothers, Johnny, Gary, and Furman Merrill; sisters, Linda Tysinger and Saundra “Sandy” Adkins.

Sherry is survived by her husband, Jimmy Harris; daughters, Andora Lee Harris (fiancé, James Milsap); Rita Katrina (husband, Jamie Kinley); grandchildren, Crystal Matthews, Brandon Burcham, Aidan Richards and Shannon Burcham; great-grandchildren, Ragan and Damian Matthews; and sister, Carolyn Kennedy.

The funeral service was held on July 20th, 2025 at Lexington Church of God.
