Shirley Ann Straka, 84, of Charlotte, passed away Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Levine and Dickson
Hospice House in Huntersville.

She was born October 19, 1938 in Defiance County, Ohio to the late Edward and Gertrude Powers
Jacoby.  Ms. Straka was a loving mother, enjoyed creating unique decorations, and loved to entertain.
Ms. Straka enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren especially during fall festivals.
In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by her daughter, Cheryl McCarley.

She is survived by her loving family; daughter, Michelle Reinhart of Charlotte, daughter, Chauntae Howe
of Columbus, OH, granddaughter, Alexandria Reinhart of Ambler, PA, grandson, Nicholas Howe of
Traverse City, MI, granddaughter Michaela Reinhart of Bryn Mawr, PA, and sister Rita Westfall of
Defiance, OH.

A celebration of life for Mrs. Shirley will be held at a later date.
