Steven Franklin Sigmund, 61, of Kannapolis, NC passed away on March 12, 2017 at his residence. Steven was born to the late Robert and Joyce Decker on August 31, 1955 in St. Petersburg, FL. He attended Grace Baptist Church in Landis, NC. Steven owned and operated his own stucco business and also worked as a handyman. He was always eager to help others in any way he could. Steven had a love for the beach and a passion for nature and his daughters. He loved to tell jokes and make people laugh. He will be greatly missed by all those who knew him.

Steven is survived by daughters, Nycole Collins of Mt. Holly, NC and Carol Goodman (Brandon) of Galesburg, IL; brother Robert Decker (Mary) of China Grove, NC; sister Carol Cone (Milton) of Summerville, SC; grandchildren, Amber Collins, April Collins and Aubri Goodman; and great-grandchildren, Jessie Perkey and Cameron Perkey.

There will be a memorial service held at 2pm on Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Corriher Heights Baptist Church (1980 N. Carolina 153, China Grove, NC 28023).
