Thomas Carroll Moose, 95, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, January 8, 2024 at North Carolina Veterans Home in Salisbury, NC.

He was born April 14, 1928 in Gaston County, NC to the late Calvin Moose and Ida Rhyne Moose.

In addition to his parents, Thomas was preceded in death by his wife Dollie Moose, sister Elizabeth Peninger, brothers Robert and Blair Moose, niece Suzanne Peninger Lynch.

Thomas is survived by nephew, Robert Christopher Peninger of Kannapolis, NC. Also survived by Shela Sapp, Jason Sapp, and Greg Sapp.

Carroll served in the US Navy, and the Merchant Marines where he traveled to many ports of the world. He was a member of the Harold B. Jarrett Legion and the Elks Club, and the VFW. He and Dollie enjoyed many good years of retirement.

There will be a service held at the Salisbury National Cemetery on Thursday, February 1, 2024 beginning at 2pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of your choice.
