Thomas George Russell, 77, of Salisbury, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024 after a short illness.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lewis “Pete” and Dorcas Russell; his sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Abraham McCloy; brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Dena Russell.

He was born August 12, 1946 in Cortland, NY. Thomas worked as a farmer and in his spare time, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

Thomas is survived by Sylvia Russell; his 4 children, Lelia (Randy) Green, Jennifer Russell, Thomas (Amy) Russell, and Melody (Mike) Harris; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will greet friends and relatives on Thursday, February 8, 2024 at Powles Staton Funeral Home, 913 W. Main Street, Rockwell, NC 28138, from 6-8pm.
