Mr. Irvin Russell Reigle, 92, of new London passed away Friday, April 13, 2012, at his residence. Mr. Reigle was born on February 21, 1920 in Coshocton, Ohio son of the late Russell Irvin Reigle and Ida Schlarb Reigle.
He was a graduate of Akron West High School and attended Ohio State University. He had worked for the Servisoft Corp. , VP of Sales, and later the owner of Akron Servi–Soft before retiring.
Mr. Reigle attended Badin Shores Chapel and enjoyed Ballroom Dancing and golf.
He served in the Marine Corp in WWII with honor, receiving two purple hearts.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Keister Reigle died on April 9, 2008 and daughter Barbara Lattimer.
Survivors include children, two daughters, Mary Lynn Scheening and husband, Hans, of New London, Susan Kegg of Stowe, Ohio; and son, Robert Reigle of Galena, Illinois.
Five adult grandchildren & spouses, Sarah Scheening and Patrick Gilley, Laura Scheening, Liz and Tim Estes, David Kegg and Krissy and TerryJ ablonski.
A Memorial Service will be conducted at 3:00 PM Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Badin Shores Chapel by Dr. Brad Garrigues, pastor and Chaplain Ron Honeycutt of Stanly County Hospice.
Memorial donations can be given to Hospice Stanley, 960 N First St. Albemarle, NC 28001 or Badin Shores Chapel, 4 Clubhouse Dr. New London, NC 28127.
The Reigle Family was served by Hospice of Stanly with care and devotion.
