Ahmed (Eddie) Sawan, 50, of Charlotte, NC, passed away peacefully in his home on September 8, 2025.

He is survived by his loving wife Meredith Wright, his parents Hasan and Sameera Sawan, his sisters Souha and Samar, along with his mother in law Pamela Wright, sister in law Shannon Wright, brother in law Gary Wright (Jennifer), and many amazing cousins and nieces and nephews.

Ahmed, Eddie, as he was so affectionately known and loved by many, loved to make people smile in any capacity. His laughter could fill an entire room. He held a givers heart and shared that love around the world with so many loving family and friends near and far. He loved travel, food, music, adventure and his rubber ducks.

Ahmed will be remembered with honor and love for his incredible strength, resounding stubbornness and the ability to show kindness to everyone he met.
