I remember meeting Allen for the first time. This sweet man walked across the road to see what was going on at the house across the street when we were in tge process of buying it. I knew that God brought us to the right house because we were surrounded by amazing neighbors. I wish we got to visit more but I love getting to chat in our yard when we could or wave in passing. Allen was such an example to loving what God gave you and taking care of it. His yard was always so beautiful. I loved walking my baby while he was out mowing and waving to him. Many times he woukd stop to chat, always saying, “hes getting so big”. He’s going to be so missed!!! God bless your sweet family Allen!
Tasha Wallace says
At a ripe age of 16 I joined in Sunday family meals at Mamaw Wallace’s home.
Allen & the family always made me feel like I was apart of the family , years before Jason & I married.
He was a humble , kind , soft spoken man of few words.
I enjoyed when he’d share stories.
One of my favs he told was the brief case with a black snake in it left at the cross road in Midland as a prank. 😂
His laughter, love for his family will always be remembered.
He wasn’t a prideful person, but he was very proud & loved each of you: Jason, John, Katherine; His wife & grandchildren too.
All that knew Allen, you’re apart of that Sunday dinner, or wherever you experienced life with him, we all have him apart of us , those moments with us.
When we see each other, we all can see & relate to each other because of Allen.
I think Allen would want us all to take time to gather around a table for meals , stories, love & laughter & to stay humble & kind.

Words of sympathy feel inadequate in expressing grief and sorrow for a loss so great. Allen was sweet and always kind to us. Could not have asked for a better father in law for our daughter. Sending a warm embrace and all my love during this sad time.

My sincerest condolences to Pat and each family member in the loss of their truly loved one. During the years from 7th thru 12th grade at Bethel School and occasionally at classmate get-togethers, I remember Allen’s personality as unchanged. He was quiet, unassuming and kind. He thought before he spoke and the words he had to say landed well on the listener’s ears. He was popular and well liked by his classmates as apparent by being voted Most Handsome our senior year. The obit picture of Allen is a perfect choice. His smile is, as it always was, so genuine and it lights up his face. Allen’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of all of us who knew and loved him.
Sylvia says
