Bervin “Shorty Rock” David Pearson Sr., 62, of Lexington, passed away Saturday, October 14, 2023.

He was born February 18, 1961 to Billy Pearson Sr. and the late Priscilla Closson Pearson. David proudly served in the United States Army and worked as a mechanic. In his spare time enjoyed riding motorcycles and playing with his grandchildren.

In addition to his mother, David was preceded in death by children, Bervin Pearson Jr., Brandon Pearson, and Brittany Pearson Talley; granddaughter, Oakleigh Hope Talley.

David is survived by his father, Billy Pearson Sr.; brothers, Billy Pearson Jr. (Sharon); Shawn Pearson Sr. (Michelle); sister, Veronica Pearson; grandson, Ryatt Talley; nieces, Reba Bowens and Sarah Pearson; nephews, Shawn Pearson Jr., Billy S. Pearson, and John Pearson; and companion, Sibyl Collins.

There will be a memorial service held at the Salisbury National Cemetery at a later date.
