It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Betty Hager. Born on October 13, 1955 in Chesterfield SC. Betty, a vibrant soul full of love, passed away on October 15, 2023. Her life was filled with sweet silliness, love, and a deep appreciation for the simpler things in life.
Betty is survived by her loving daughters, Emily Hager and Nancy Ross; her brothers, John and Jerry Jackson; her grandchildren, Grady Ross/Estes, Amelia Estes, and Will Estes; and her beloved nephew, Johnny Teal. She was predeceased by her dear mother, Nancy Jackson and father Mack Jackson
Betty had a profound love for music, particularly the harmonious beats of Rod Stewart and Don McLean. She had a fondness for the colors pink and purple, which perfectly reflected her sweet and charming personality. Her heart was full of wisdom and she consistently reminded those around her to never take things for granted, emphasizing that material wealth was insignificant compared to love.
Her greatest accomplishment in life was being a beautiful mother. She showered her children with unconditional love and her legacy will always be ‘love each other’. Betty was the heart of her family, her love was boundless and her laughter is what filled every room she was in.
“Mama was my heart and will always be loved,” these words beautifully sum up the irreplaceable void she has left behind. Her memories will forever be cherished by her loved ones as they keep her light alive in their hearts.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to an animal rescue because mama loved dogs or a cancer research center.
Carolina Cremation is assisting the Hager family. Online condolences may be made at www.carolinacremation.com.
Emily says
It’s been almost a year and it still doesn’t seem real. I miss her so much and wish I had one more day with her. She was a good mother and a care free soul.
