Betty Lou Rackley, 69, of Lexington, NC passed away on Sunday April 24, 2016 at her home surrounded by family. Betty was born on November 7, 1946 in Pender County, NC to the late Lester James and Maggie James.

Betty was of the Baptist Faith and loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and playing volleyball.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers and five sisters.

She is survived by her children, Joseph Rackley and wife Stephanie of Lexington, James Rackley of Lexington, Shane Rackley and wife Beverly of Kentucky, Amy Rackley of Lexington, Randy Rackley and wife Stephanie of Lexington, and Sandy Rackley and wife Jessica of Lexington; grandchildren, Andrea Korn, Brandi Rackley, Seth Rackley, Lane Rackley, Justin Caulder, and Alexis Caulder.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
