Betty Lou Zunk , 72, of Rockwell, passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House in Salisbury, NC.
She was born on February 29, 1944 to the late Luther and Alice Curry Spence in Providence, KY. Betty loved animals, especially horses and gold panning.
Betty is survived by Two Sons, James Zunk of Salisbury, NC, and Curry Zunk and wife Angela of Salisbury, NC; Daughter, Shannon Zunk Leonard of Rockwell, NC; Seven Granddaughters, Stacey, Michelle, Danielle, Shayna, Ashlyn, Abigail, and Natassia; Grandson, Troy; Six Great-grandsons, Damon, Christopher, James, Drew, Jack, and Dom; Two Great-granddaughters, Angel, and Hazel; and Sister, Jean Hagey.
In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by Brother, James Spence
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, 3:00 pm at the Nazareth Community Church, 856 Crescent Rd Rockwell, NC, with Rev. Mike Shoaf, officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Carolina Cremation to help with final expenses, PO Box 2185 Salisbury NC 28145.

Your mom was a wonderful lady.She was kind and humble.Everybody loved her so much.Her tragic death has brought sorrow to a lot of lives whom she touched, and when God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, He put his arms around you and wispered “Come to Me”.
