Beverly Ruth (MacLean) Thibodeau, 72, passed away on February 26, 2018 in Charlotte, NC surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Inverness Hospital on Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia, Canada on March 26, 1945 to the late Ada Jeanette (Philpott) MacLean and William Wood MacLean. Beverly graduated from Mabou High School and moved to the US to go to NH College in Manchester, NH. In 1972 she married Robert and lived in Waltham, MA until 1978 when they moved to Manchester, NH to raise their family.
Beverly spent 20+ years raising her 3 children as a stay at home mom. Her commitment to raising her family was of the upmost importance to her. She spent endless hours transporting and supporting her kids through sporting events, recitals, and other school related activities. After her 3 kids left for College, Beverly spent several years working for LensCrafters as a part time employee. She enjoyed working with her colleagues and interacting with customers. The Thibodeau household was often filled with family and friends as Beverly was always a willing and gracious host.
When Beverly and Robert weren’t enjoying their winters in NC, Beverly kept busy as an active member of the Bedford Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed travel, walking and lunch with friends, gardening, playing cards and spending as much time as possible with her kids and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Robert Leo Thibodeau; and siblings, Mary, Philis, William, and Gary.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Cheri (Cris) Boulanger of Ashland, MA; two sons, Shawn (Mitzi) Thibodeau of Concord, NC and Brent (Rachel) Thibodeau of Indian Land, SC; five grandchildren, Brooke, Olivia, Joshua, Tristen and Aubrey; two brothers Douglas (Francis) and Jack (Vivian) MacLean both of Nova Scotia; and a sister, Carol (Harvey) Knight of Belfast, ME.
A celebration of life will be held on March 16, 2018 from 1:30 to 4:30 PM at the Puritan Conference Center, Suite BC (245 Hooksett Rd., Manchester, NH 03104).
Mrs. Thibodeau will be laid to rest at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, NH.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the Charlotte Region (7600 Little Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28226) or to your local hospice.

Elaine Widdifield (MacDonald) says
Beverly was a cherished childhood friend & I enjoyed many sleep overs with her and Carol. I have not been able to see her often over the years as we lived so far apart but I have many warm memories. Beverly was always a kind person and was cherished in the community of Malagawatch as I am sure she was in every community she lived in. Our time on this earth is sometimes short & Beverly has left her mark.
