Carol Lynne Johnson, 67, of Cornelius, NC passed away on Saturday, April 01, 2023.

Carol was born on August 15, 1955, in Englewood NJ to the late Dewey and Arlene (Eck) Johnson. The Johnson family eventually moved to Edgerton, Ohio and she attended school at Edgerton High School and graduated with the class of 1973, where she was Homecoming Queen and Captain of Varsity Cheerleading. Carol resided in Edgerton and taught swimming lessons and later moved to North Carolina where she started a successful wallpapering business.

After moving to Watkinsville, GA, she attained a Real Estate License and pursued a successful career as a real estate agent for Century 21. Later, Carol moved to Washington, DC where she attended The University of the District of Columbia and earned a degree in Nursing and finally, she would move back to NC to be close to her daughter.

Carol loved and is leaving behind her precious Cocker Spaniel, Layla, as they enjoyed many long walks
together. Additionally, she loved painting, golfing, gardening, and spending precious time with her
children.

Today, Carol is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Tibbs of Cornelius NC; her son, Shawn Tibbs of Cornelius, NC and her brother, Dr. Scott (Marybeth) Johnson of Chicago, IL.

In addition to her parents, Carol is proceeded in death by her brother, Dr. Craig Johnson.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Novant Presbyterian Medical Center, the Novant
Neuro ICU Team’s Nurses, and Doctors and to the Hospice Staff at Novant Health Hospice and Palliative
Care.

Carolina Cremation has assisted the family with arrangements and a celebration of life will be held at a
later date.
