Charles “Buddy” Harold Troutman, 86, of Kannapolis, passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025 at his residence.
He was born October 20, 1938 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late William “Frank” Troutman and Clare Severt Troutman, the oldest of 11 children. Buddy was the owner of Troutman Roofing Company for over 50 years. He was a wonderful husband and loving father. Buddy was a great sportsman, hunting and fishing from the age of 9 years old. He will be greatly missed.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by his siblings, Sue T. Barnhardt; Brenda T. Smith; Linda Kay Troutman; Donna T. Murph; Harry “Jack” Troutman; Nancy T. Walter; Guy F. Troutman; and Frances “Sissy” T. Simpson.
Charles is survived by his wife of 61 years, Alice Troutman; children, Tommy Troutman (Faith); Sandra Troutman; Timothy Troutman; and Glenn Troutman (Jill); grandchildren, Joshua (Tessa); Jacob; Lauren; Anna; Luke and London; great-grandchildren, Lena; Bodie; Olivia; Bryson; and Whaylan; sister, Tamera T. Benton; and brother, Terry L. Troutman.
There will be a memorial service held at 11am on Thursday, April 17, 2025 at New Beginning Community Church, 1914 Central Drive Kannapolis, NC 28083.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Atrium Health Hospice & Palliative Care Cabarrus, 5003 Hospice Lane
Kannapolis, NC 28081.

Gone but never forgotten. I met Buddy at the hunting cabin in paint bank. Ever year he would look at Sherman and say that is not the girl you had here last year. Always put a smile on my face.
