Mr. Charles Stephen “Steve” Kirk, 63, of Richfield passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at his residence. Steve was born in Rowan County on July 15, 1949 a son of the late David Wallace Kirk and Carrie Louise Trexler Kirk Bumgarner.

Steve was educated in the Rowan County Schools and was a truck driver. He had driven for numerous trucking companies in Rowan County. He was a member of Luther’s Lutheran Church.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Michael E. Kirk.

Survivors include his sons, Bryan Thomas Kirk of Richfield and William “Wes” Scott and wife, Cindy, of Richfield; daughter Lauren Kirk Honeycutt and husband, Rob, of China Grove and grandsons, Mitchell and Riley Honeycutt.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 2:30 to 3:00 PM on Sunday before the Memorial Service.

Services: A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, December 9, 2012, at Luther’s Lutheran Church conducted by Rev. Tommy Beaver.
