Christopher “Chris” Neal Holland was born on August 25, 1961, in Bessemer City, North Carolina,
to Marie Payne Holland and Neal Holland, both of whom predeceased him.

A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, he attended Northwestern High School. Chris called the Carolinas home and built a life filled with treasured memories and meaningful connections.

Chris spent most of his career in the hospitality industry, specializing in food and beverage service. Working primarily in fine dining at upscale hotels and restaurants in Charlotte, he became known
for his professionalism, dedication, and commitment to exceptional service.

A passionate collector of rare memorabilia and films, Chris took great pleasure in sharing his
collections with others. Warm and welcoming, he connected easily with people wherever he went
and never met a stranger. He also cherished visits to the mountains and beaches of the Carolinas,
finding beauty and peace in both.

Following a courageous battle with cancer, Chris died on October 13, 2026, at the Glenn A. Kiser
Hospice House in Salisbury, North Carolina. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on
in the hearts of all whose lives he touched.

In addition to his parents, Chris was predeceased by his beloved sister, Kelly H. Poore.

He is lovingly remembered by his brother, Brad Holland, and Brad’s wife, Angie; his brother-in-law, Bruce Poore; and his aunts, uncles, nieces, nephew, and many cousins. All who loved Chris will
carry his memory in their hearts.

In accordance with Chris’s wishes, he was cremated. A private committal and scattering of his
ashes will take place at a later date.

The family is deeply grateful to the compassionate team at the Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House,
whose devoted care and tireless efforts brought Chris comfort.
